Victorian scam alert a warning for SA tenants

 

The Professionals property management team would like to let tenants in SA know of a scam doing the rounds in Victoria, that could well ‘cross the border’. In the scam, prospective tenants are lured into paying bond money, often a few weeks’ rent, but they never get access to the property (usually because the property doesn’t exist).

Some warning signs in these adverts include: requests to send bond money overseas; contact details referencing interstate or overseas landlords, pixelated photographs, poor spelling and grammar.
